Paul Dalgleish Appointed as RCR Chief Executive Officer
RCR is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Paul Dalgleish as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company. Mr Dalgleish will join RCR in early 2009.
Mr Dalgleish (47) is currently the Chief Executive of United Group Infrastructure Pty Ltd (UGLI), a wholly owned subsidiary of United Group Limited, and a Board Member of the Balfour Beatty/UGLI Joint Venture, in addition to holding senior responsibilities with other multiple project alliances and joint ventures. His role includes Power Transmission, Power Systems, Municipal Wastewater, Municipal Water, Power Generation, Rail, and Road, in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Asia and the Middle East.
RCR Tomlinson Chairman Roderick Brown said that Mr Dalgleish was the stand‐out choice from a very highly qualified pool of candidates who were attracted to the role of RCR CEO after a rigorous search both in Australia and overseas.
“We are delighted that Paul has agreed to join RCR and lead the executive management team, with a strong focus on driving improved shareholder returns,” Mr Brown said.
“Over the past seven years, Paul has overseen very substantial revenue and EBIT growth at UGLI, both in Australia and internationally.”
“Paul has many attributes and skills, but it was his energy and his record in delivering consistent year upon year growth in earnings resulting from strong management and strategic positioning that most attracted the RCR Directors to Paul.”
Prior to UGLI Mr Dalgleish was Managing Director of Montgomery Watson Constructors Pty Ltd based in Singapore with responsibilities for Australia and Asia and developed design‐build projects from pre‐contracts through to project delivery. Mr Dalgleish also had a global role in the development and implementation of a global e‐business and knowledge management system covering all segments from pre‐contracts and design to procurement, construction, operations and maintenance.
Mr Dalgleish holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons), University of Melbourne, Master of Arts (Business Research) (pending DBA), Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM), Undergraduate Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), MGSM and is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.
Mr Dalgleish said that RCR had established a very strong, profitable national engineering design, manufacture and maintenance business that employed some 2300 staff and contractors across Australia, with tremendous opportunities for the future.
