Lo-flo inert gas generators
RCR Energy's “Lo-Flo” inert gas generator is designed for removal of hazardous methane gas from confined areas, such as in underground coal mines.
Developed primarily for use in the underground Coal Mining Industry.
It is a flexible device used for various mining techniques as well as vessel and fuel tank inspection or maintenance.
Examples of creating an inert environment:
- In sealed and abandoned underground mines
- In conjunction with highwall mining equipment (auger or continuous mining) to a depth of 500m where high gas concentration normally halts mining operations.
- With active longwall goafs for uninterrupted mining operation
- Purging fuel storage tanks for internal inspection
- Dilution of process gas streams to alter its chemical composition or calorific value.
It is available in static or mobile configurations and can be gas fired, diesel fired or a combination.
